Most Important Election Yet
November 4th, 2008This is my third presidential election that I’ve been able to vote for. The stakes today are quite a bit higher than the first couple. I voted first thing this morning and was a little bummed to not have to wait in line; I was actually looking forward to being irritated if it meant getting caught up in a lot of passion and excitement. I’ll attempt to get my fill of such things watching the results tonight.
On a voter fraud note, my brother just called me. He had just voted in Weston, NE and noticed my name was still on their voting list, even though I’m registered in Colorado.
“So, if Jared came in here before 7 PM he could vote here?”
“Yep. Wouldn’t be a problem.”
“Even though he already voted in Colorado?”
“He’s registered here, so he can vote here.”
Pretty crazy. You hear about voter fraud all the time, but this just seems too easy. I wonder how many states I could register in and try to vote in.
